Kathryn has worked for many years in an educational setting providing training for teachers, facilitating parenting groups and providing therapeutic intervention for children and adolescents. She has worked with clients who have depression, anxiety, challenging behaviours, autism, self esteem issues, anger, sleep issues, school refusal, issues relating to parental separation, school transition and social problems. Kathryn utilises a number of therapies including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Centered Therapy and Mindfulness Techniques.
Kathryn has completed many educational and cognitive assessments for children with learning disorders or developmental delays. She is skilled at writing comprehensive reports to inform both teachers and parents of appropriate interventions. Kathryn has also worked in a community counselling clinic with adult clients and has supervised a number of psychologists to registration working in different areas such as education, drug and alcohol counselling and the division of General Practice.
