Kathryn grew up in New Zealand with a keen interest in sport. She chose to do a degree in Podiatry due to an interest in things medical and her sporting background, including athletics, gymnastics and netball. She graduated at the top of class in 1996 and went on to work in a private practice in Wellington. In 2001, Kathryn moved to U.K to live and work in London, it was here that she also taught clinical podiatry at the London Foot Hospital. She moved back to Australia in 2006, where she continued her special interest in the paediatric podiatry across podiatry clinics. She now has a daughter who is nearly one year old, so much of her spare time is taken up watching her grow and learn.
