Karen Groves is an Accredited APA Sports Physiotherapist with a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy. She has worked for more than 20 years in Sports Physiotherapy Practices and with Elite and Semi-Elite athletes. This has included teams from the Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association, Hockey QLD, Scorchers, Firebirds Netball and Tennis Australia. Karen has also worked with representative Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams in the National League, as well as teams from the Queensland Academy of Sport in Netball and Hockey. She was a volunteer Physiotherapist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Karen has a special interest in Dance Injuries and has further Post-Graduate qualifications in Dance.

We aim to work closely with teachers, parents as well as students and have access to other health professionals including sports physicians and podiatrists if the need arises. Currently Karen combines private work with management in an Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic for Queensland Health and is also a Clinical Educator at the University of Queensland, School of Physiotherapy.
