Dr Kaileen Pearson is a psychologist with a special interest in the role of pain and its relationship with psychological well-being. Dr Kaileen Pearson has a Doctorate in Psychology (Counselling) and extensive experi- ence in assisting people for almost 30 years. She has trained and worked in many elds, including adventure therapy, drug and alcohol counselling, family therapy and mediation, couples counselling and health counselling. Kaileen has also been a generalist counsellor for people who have experienced issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, loss, abuse, sleep problems and personality disorders. She started work as a research assis- tant and researcher during her undergraduate degree and has had a passion for research and evidence-based interventions ever since. For the last 10 years Kaileen has specialised in seeing people with chronic health conditions and / or persistent pain, and the associated issues which can come with these. Kaileen uses many forms of counselling, including solution-focussed, cognitive behavioural therapy, compassion-based therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Kaileen is particularly concerned with helping people live the best life possible. She is also known for her warm, engaging and down-to-earth manner with clients and patients.
