Joelle is a compassionate, respectful psychologist who has worked with clients of all ages from diverse backgrounds. She has experience working at CAMHS, with complex child and family presentations; and within specialty community-based settings. Joelle has also worked as a case manager at Wesley Aunties & Uncles for the past 4 years, working within early intervention, Out of Home Care and preventative care teams.
Joelle’s experiences have provided rich opportunities to grow in understanding of how mental health issues can impact people from all walks of life and affect engagement with work or study, as well as relationships with others, while potentially obstructing us from living out our values. Joelle understands that each individual’s road to recovery is unique, with many having experienced challenges and frustrations after travelling this road for a long time. Joelle takes a holistic, client-directed approach to recovery, which considers each person’s unique goals and values, while maintaining a solid foundation in evidence-based theory. Joelle also strives to assist parents by respectfully understanding their specific concerns and equipping them with the relevant skills and resources to support their loved one with confidence.
