Fiona graduated with Honours from University College Dublin in 2001. She started her career working in Dublin hospitals and with various sports teams, including rugby and hockey and was the team physiotherapist for the Irish Women’s Rugby team at the 6 Nations Championships in Spain.
In 2004, Fiona moved to Australia. She completed her Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy at UQ in 2004. Since completion of her Masters, Fiona has worked solely in the private practice setting. She has a special interest in the diagnosis, treatment and management of spinal conditions, in particular low back and neck pain, including whiplash injuries. Fiona has worked in conjunction with UQ as the treating clinician on various clinical trials for whiplash and tennis elbow studies.
Fiona has completed her APPI training for clinical Pilates and regularly includes Pilates in the treatment and management of her clients. Fiona has a very hands on approach to her treatment and ensures that her clients have a very good understanding of their pain and management of their condition.
Outside of work, Fiona has a keen interest in sport, particularly running. She has completed numerous half marathons and two marathons and has just returned to running after having children, recently completing the Gold Coast Half marathon. She is looking forward to completing more races in the future and eventually making her way back to running another marathon.
