Carly Cameron is a registered psychologist with over fifteen years experience in Australia and the U.K., and a special interest in the area of complex trauma. Carly has worked in a diverse range of environments including working in community-based settings, forensic and secure psychiatric settings, child protection, foster care, therapeutic residential care, private practice and consultancy.


Carly enjoys helping people to create positive change in their lives, and is able to draw on a variety of theoretical approaches to meet the needs of each individual. She has extensive experience working with traumatised children, young people and adults, and has undergone specialised training in the Adult Attachment Interview. Her specific area of interest is exploring the link between childhood adversity and the development of psychiatric disorders, with a particular interest in the idea of resilience. She is passionate about working with people who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and has a genuine appreciation for clinical work, and a desire to continue to develop her skills in assisting and empowering people to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Carly lectures on a casual basis at Victoria University and is also currently completing a PhD in the area of Attachment and Psychopathology.
