Belinda Paterson is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Melbourne. She works with clients 12 years and above.


Belinda's most recent experience was as a Senior Clinician at Headspace, working with young people (12-25) and their families whose presenting concerns were considered complex and severe. This role also involved piloting a new model of suicide prevention for young people in the North-West region of Melbourne. Belinda has also gained experience at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and in private practice with adolescents and adults who presented with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, eating disorders and major life transitions.

Belinda draws on evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy and Positive Psychology. She believes that a therapeutic relationship based on respect, compassion and empowerment is a central part of the healing process. Belinda seeks to foster a supportive environment to help people explore their concerns, identify strengths and opportunities for change, develop new strategies and face the future with optimism.
