Ashlee Smith is a fully registered Psychologist and has worked with children, adolescents and their families for a number of years. Ashlee has a natural ability to engage with her clients to offer a safe and supportive environment.
She has worked privately and in schools, and has a special interest in working with children and adolescents with various emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. She also enjoys working collaboratively with families to provide support and to enhance the parent-child relationship. She works in creative ways to help clients understand what they’re experiencing and to learn more adaptive ways of coping and expressing themselves. She draws on her training and experience in supportive counselling, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Play Therapy in order to meet her clients’ needs. Ashlee recognises the importance of adapting the therapeutic approach to the child and their context. She also conducts comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to better support children and adolescents with their unique set of skills and capabilities.
