Before earning her qualifications as a dental hygienist at TAFE SA Gilles Plains in 2009, Aislinn Racines worked as a dental assistant. She says the experience of working alongside passionate dentists and hygienists encouraged her to take the next step in her dental career.
As a hygienist, Aislinn has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of gum disease. She works closely with patients to understand any risks they may have and make sure they learn the best oral hygiene tips to use at home. She says developing good rapport with patients and catching up with them at regular appointments are her favourite parts of her job.
Aislinn is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia.
Outside of work, she enjoys trying to catch the Million Dollar Barra and trying out new recipes.
