Barbara is a Clinical Psychologist registered with AHPRA with Endorsement in Clinical Psychology. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She brings a breadth of experience and depth of knowledge to therapy sessions for adolescents, adults and older adults. She is committed to promoting better outcomes in the mental health, well-being and life experiences of individuals, parents and couples.

Barbara has accumulated sound knowledge, skills and abilities with a wide range of mental health issues, disability types and medical conditions in the Government Sector both State and Commonwealth, Community Mental Health Services, Disability Services and not for profit organisations. She has a special interest and specific experience with people with injuries, disability or medical conditions, occupational and physical rehabilitation and the impact on a person’s psychological wellbeing.

Barbara has an open and approachable manner and acknowledges the courage taken to initiate seeking psychological/mental health support. She believes it is likely to be one of the most important and personally valuable steps a person can make toward making a difference in one’s quality of life and living a richer and more meaningful life.

You will be provided with a comprehensive initial clinical assessment, research evidenced interventions that are individually tailored to your needs, regular monitoring and review of progress and evaluation of outcome.

Treatment interventions are based on current research evidenced practices. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Multi-Systemic Therapy and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
