Dr Atika graduated from Medicine in 1996 and received her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. She began working in general practice in 2010 at Cessnock and continued to work as a full-time GP in Western Sydney.
Dr Atika enjoys the full spectrum of General Practice from new-borns, to parents, to those in their senior years. She has a special interest in Antenatal Care, Cervical Screening and Women’s Health. She also has special interest in minor procedures including skin cancer excisions, suturing, removal of foreign bodies, Implanon Contraceptive Insertion/Removal and Removal of Mirena. She believes that the true reward in general practice lies in the unique opportunity it affords you for continuity of care of many generations over the years. She enjoys the mix that she has in sub-acute, chronic and family care at the local surgery, combined with her rural hospital work which keeps her skills sharp. She also regularly attends scientific seminars, workshops and applies evidence-based medicine in practice.
