Phil is an ex-serviceman who retrained as an osteopath and researcher and holds a PhD in pain medicine. Phils clinical interests include the treatment of computer and age-related musculoskeletal pain conditions and the effects of mood on the severity and duration of persistent pain.
Phil combines his clinical work with research where he is presently investigating the therapeutic effects of virtual reality on pain severity and clinical methods of predicting the extent and severity of pain in people with chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and in people with spinal cord injuries. Phil is also a member of the Australian Osteopathic Accreditation Council.
