James Cunningham is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist from Auckland University Of Technology. He started his physiotherapy career after spending most of his life working in gyms, sports teams and health care clinics around the world.
Since then he has had experience in sports clinics, strength and conditioning, occupational health and multidisciplinary medical clinics throughout New Zealand and Australia. He has since followed a active and holistic approach to assessment and treatment throughout his career. During the past 3 years he has started to have a strong interest in persistent pain and management and so has started to build his career around it as he finds it rewarding to help those most effected.
His interests outside of physiotherapy are cycling, stand up paddle boarding, camping, bike polo, ultimate Frisbee and disc golf. As he treats a number of triathletes in the past, he himself is looking at getting into the sport to understand it better.
