Danni graduated from the University of Sydney in 2010 and worked as a new graduated at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital giving her experience with a wide variety of patients in the acute and rehabilitation setting. As a physiotherapy student she worked in a sports trainer/match day capacity with Sydney University AFL Club (2010-2011), which she enjoyed immensely. Ultimately her keen interest in sport, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation post injury led her to work at The Sports Clinic.

Since starting at the clinic in 2012 Danni has a wide range of experience working with different sporting clubs including roles as head physiotherapist for Sydney University Soccer Football Club men’s program (2012-2014) and Sydney University Netball Club (2012-2014). More recently she has been involved with rowing (from 2014), swimming (from 2015) and rugby union (from 2015). Danni also teaches clinical pilates to public and specific sporting groups, completing her pilates certification through DMA Clinical Pilates in 2016.

Whilst studying Danni was part of the Elite Athlete Program (EAP) and held a Sports Scholarship for soccer. She represented NSW at the National Futsal Championships and played First Grade football in the NSW Premier League since she was 17yrs old representing Sydney Uni. As a result she has experienced numerous injuries including two knee reconstructions and understands the rehabilitation process in returning to sport.

Currently Danni is also studying a Masters of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through Griffith University. She is enjoying how her double degree is improving her understanding of complex sports and musculoskeletal injuries as well as improving her manual skills. Her degree is due for completion at the end of 2016.

Her greatest interest is not only helping athletes and patients overcome their injuries, but to return them to a high performance level. She also has a large interest in intervention for injury prevention. From her experience in the EAP and her current sports involvement she understands the importance of being able to work with coaches, strength and conditioning, exercise physiology and other staff involved in athletic performance.

Danni is the Head Physiotherapist for Sydney University Football Club (rugby) and still assists with the Sydney University Swim Club.
