Cameron Elliott is an accredited service provider to the New South Wales Institute Of Sport as a physiotherapist, working with the state’s top 750 elite athletes, coaches and managers. Cameron is a full-time employee of Sydney Sports Medicine Centre where he treats all musculoskeletal injuries that result from sport, work or lifestyle activities. Cameron is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia, he currently holds the position of board member on the national board of directors for Sports Medicine Australia and is the President of the Australian Physiotherapy Association NSW Branch Council.

Cameron has extensive experience working with elite and professional sports. His experience includes, but is not limited to physiotherapy co-ordinator for the NSW Institute of Sport Mens Hockey program and the Cycling program. Cameron also works regularly with The New South Wales Hockey Association, Hockey Australia, Netball NSW, Rowing Australia and Athletics Australia as a physiotherapist on domestic and international tours for the respective state and national teams. Cameron has a particular involvement in the athletics paralympic program in their preparation for the Rio Olympic games. Cameron's previous appointments include team physiotherapist to; the West Sydney Razorbacks basketball team (previously competing in the National Basketball League), the Australian U21 Mens Hockey Team (competing in the junior world cup 2009), the Singapore Olympic swimming team (2008), Cumberland Beavers Rugby League Football Club and the New South Wales Gymnastics Association. He has done periodic work with four clubs competing in the Australian Football League (AFL) and regularly consults for club level sports in rowing, cycling, soccer and rugby union.

Cameron is an accomplished presenter, his experience includes several years as unit lecturer at both the Australian College of Physical Education and Australian Catholic University. He still regularly teaches for institutions such as Sports Medicine Australia and is booked regularly to speak at conferences and other educational events both nationally and internationally.

Cameron’s strengths are in his strong scientific based approach to injury assessment and management. He is a qualified strength and conditioning coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Coaching Association and draws on his knowledge of athlete conditioning when managing injuries in any level of athlete from weekend warrior to Olympic medallist. He utilises a hands on approach of manual treatment, which includes soft tissue and myofascial releases, joint and spinal mobilisations and manipulations, dry needling, muscle energy techniques, exercise prescription and if required, the use of real time ultrasound to provide visual feedback on muscle contraction patterning- a treatment most applicable for training core stability.

Cameron grew up in Jindabyne, has skied for most of his life, played club level Australian Rules Football and is a passionate motorcyclist.
