Adrian Del Monaco is a Psychologist with special interest in pain and injury management, rehabilitation and youth mental health. Adrian completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology, with his thesis exploring the effects of physical activity on overall mental health in adults. Adrian’s Honours thesis focused on autobiographical memories of significant life events and the associated emotional experiences. Adrian has a special interest in the benefits of a holistic approach to overall well-being in pain and injury management and recovery. Adrian has previous experience working with children and adults with a wide range of psychological presentations including anxiety, depression, sleep problems, trauma, relationship issues, anger management difficulties, and personality disorders. His approach is to empower patients to live a meaningful life and develop skills that build their confidence to cope adaptively with pain and associated difficulties. He has an empathetic and compassionate style, while being optimistic and focussing on patient’s strengths and values.
