Vikki Prior is the Founder of Ringwood Psychology. Her predominant therapies are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Psychoanalysis Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. Vikki’s goal is to strive for empathic understanding of her clients and their life experiences. She is trained in emotional regulation techniques to assist individuals and Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse to access healthy emotions.
Vikki focuses on the treatment of various addictions and compulsive behaviours, and the impact these have on moods, relationships and self-esteem. Addictions include Internet Pornography, Chat Rooms, sex workers and fetishes, as well as alcohol and drug misuse. Vikki is trained in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions, relationships and sex therapy in order to assists individuals to control and understand the origins of their behaviours, and to help couples to restore relationships damaged by betrayal and broken trust.
