Melanie is a titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist having completed a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. She has worked closely with a variety of sports including: swimming, triathlon, beach volleyball, athletics, dancing, soccer, rugby and netball.

Since qualifying in the UK, Melanie worked in and around London working closely with both amateur and professional sports teams. She was lucky enough to have been part of the medical team for the 2014 Invictus games held at the Olympic Park, London and more recently at the 2018 GC Commonwealth Games as a physiotherapist in the athlete's village.

 Having moved to Brisbane 4 years ago Melanie has been working within private practice treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and teaching Clinical Pilates.  Her clinical practice aims to educate and empower her patients to achieve their goals.  She is a keen advocate of injury prevention and rehabilitation and uses a variety of treatments including, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, acupuncture and exercise prescription to reduce pain and restore functional movement patterns.  

A former professional dancer and keen sportswoman, Melanie uses her anatomical and sporting knowledge to create individualised, sports specific rehabilitation treatment programs. In her free time Melanie enjoys trail running, travel and spending time with close friends and family.
