Lorraine is passionate about working collaboratively with people to improve their quality of life and assist them reach their therapeutic goals.  She is professional, mature, warm and empathetic, and aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for people to explore their thoughts and feelings. Lorraine uses a range of evidence based theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing.  These interventions are targeted to meet each individual’s unique needs and strengths. Lorraine has experience working within both hospital based and private settings in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and adults suffering from a range of disorders and concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, relationship difficulties, sleep disorders, and self-esteem and communication issues. Lorraine has a strong interest in assisting both men and women adjust to the demands of parenthood and has worked extensively with mothers suffering from postnatal depression and anxiety, birth trauma and associated relationship difficulties.
