Dr. Katherine Honeyman has extensive experience working within both community mental health and forensic/correctional settings. Kat has an empathic, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach, where she believes that much progress in therapy is underpinned by building a strong therapeutic relationship. Kat’s therapy sessions are guided by these principles, allowing clients to explore their vulnerabilities in a safe environment and feel heard. Kat specialises in dual diagnosis, the condition in which one has a mental illness alongside a substance abuse problem. By specialising in dual diagnosis, a client is able to be treated for two or more disorders at the one location, with the one psychologist.
