Joanne Burch is a registered psychologist who enjoys specialising in child and adolescent wellbeing and mental health. She is passionate about helping young people successfully navigate through the numerous developmental, emotional and social challenges they face. Jo uses practical, evidence-based therapeutic strategies to build resilience and empower young people. Jo has worked at both primary and secondary schools in the local area, as well as with adults in the CBD. Jo is skilled at assisting all her clients to cope with and manage a range of difficulties that may adversely impact on their emotional, psychological and social well-being. This includes issues such as: anxiety, eating disorders/body image, family issues, and depression. Jo primarily uses CBT and ACT in her work, however, also uses her pet therapy dog – a Golder Retriever named Ralphy.
