Helen Price is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She has joined the growing team at the Westleigh Village Medical Practice and is available to accept referrals. She is passionate about improving the nutrition and health of individuals and the community. Helen has a variety of clinical Dietetic experience, most recently at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Newcastle as well as a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) from Charles Sturt University. Helen has worked in clinical, renal and outpatient Dietetics at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and as a Research Dietitian working as both a group facilitator for the Loozit Study at the Children’s Hospital Westmead and on the Women and their children’s health (WATCH) study at John Hunter Hospital. Working in private practice enables Helen to practice according to her values promoting sustainable, positive health change. As everyone is an individual (with a unique health profile, individual food likes and dislikes, and a family/work life), there cannot possibly be a ‘one diet fits all’ approach. Helen is experienced and up-to- date in clinical research in the diet-disease relationships of most health conditions. She is available for appointments Wednesdays and Saturdays and welcomes all referrals from doctors however a referral is not necessary.
