GMC came into existence in July 1998 through the amalgamation of two existing local practices. The partners were joined in January 2001 by Drs Matt and Sue Masel, in 2004 by Dr Charles Mudimu, in 2008 by Dr Jeremy Nolan, and in 2009 by Drs Anna Carswell and Sarah Gleeson. Dr Ronelle Nicholson also joined the practice as an associate in 2009.

The group now practices from a purpose built surgery that was completed in June 1998 and has been extended in recent years to facilitate the growing team. The addition of GMC House (located next door to the medical centre) to the GMC group has provided our patients with convenient access to allied health practitioners and fostered stronger relationships within the health professional community.

This cooperation has allowed the town’s General Practitioners to provide an excellent medical service to the community. We aim to provide an ethical, efficient and comprehensive general practice service to our patients.

Goondiwindi Medical Centre’s doctors also have a long history of involvement in General Practice Training through mentoring medical students, junior doctors and Registrars (doctors finishing their specialisation in general practice).
