The South West Radiation Oncology Service provides rapid access to treatment and no out-of-pocket expenses for appointments and treatments related to our radiation oncology service.
It is the first regional comprehensive cancer care service in Western Australia. Based in Bunbury, it also operates clinics in Collie, Mandurah and Busselton. The department is located on the South West Health Campus and was purpose built to provide convenient and coordinated care with colleagues at St John of God Hospital across a range of services including pathology, pharmacy and diagnostics. Multidisciplinary care is crucial to the provision of comprehensive services. The team works with local and metropolitan surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, palliative care, allied health teams and consumer groups to meet the community’s local care needs. The service also works with cancer nurse coordinators.
