Fiona is a registered clinical psychologist with specialist training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in addition to general counselling. She has worked extensively in both the public and private mental health sectors as well as the Department of Education. Her work is informed by evidence-based and insight-oriented practices such as cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and feminist perspectives. Treatment is tailored to each individual’s needs in a collaborative and non-judgemental space where individuals can explore their concerns. Fiona strives to empower individuals to make their own choices, to identify strengths, and to develop the confidence and skills to improve their lives and achieve their goals.
Fiona works with adults 17+ across a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to anxiety/panic and depression, stress management, sleep difficulties, eating disorders, grief and loss, adjustment and life transition issues, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem and assertiveness issues, personal growth and development, and workplace stress and professional burnout.
