Elly is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and an Associate member of the Australian Psychology Society. She is a fully registered clinical psychologist in South Korea and worked in neuropsychiatric hospital units where she was trained to assess and treat serious mental disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive and Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Trauma related disorders. She also has extensive experience treating common psychological issues including low self-esteem, perfectionism, excessive worry, performance anxiety, work-related stress, adjustment difficulties, and relationship and parenting problems. She has practiced in a rural area of Victoria until recently working with a wide range of clients from children to the elderly both individuals and couples, and moved to Melbourne to work with people having more diverse cultural backgrounds. Elly offers a tailored therapy utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Contemporary Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion-Focused therapy, Solution-Focused therapy and EMDR. She incorporates brain-mind-body integration approaches and her work is based on the client-centred humanitarian theory and attachment theory where clients can experience safe and secure relationship and feel respected, heard and felt.
