Dr. Liu graduated from a medical school in 1984 from Wuhan, China and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She completed her general surgical training before coming to Australia in 1996. Then, she worked in a number of hospitals in NSW and Victoria before commencing general practice training in Gippsland and completing her GP training in 2007.
She performs minor surgical procedures, skin lesion removal, plastering, wound suturing and emergency care.
She has extensive experience in many aspects of medicine, which includes geriatrics, paediatrics, men’s and women's health, and has a special interest in the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, depression, hypertension and obesity. Her women’s health experience includes ante-natal and post-natal care and contraception, including the insertion and removal of implanon.
Dr. Liu established the Skye Medical Centre in 2011.
