Dr Yu-Chuan Lee was born in Malaysia and immigrated to Australia at the age of 7. She completed her primary and early secondary education in Darwin, later moving to Adelaide and graduated from Medicine at the University of Adelaide in 1993. Her first year of post graduate dermatology training was completed in St Johns Hospital, London and the remaining 3 years in Adelaide. She received her Fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatology in 1999. She holds a position as a Visiting Medical Specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She has interests in general dermatology in particular the management of acne, eczema and hair loss disorders, laser and cosmetic dermatology.
