In the UK, Prof Ledger was described by The Observer newspaper as ‘The friendly face of IVF’. He moved to Sydney in early 2011 and is now a senior fertility specialist and gynaecologist with IVFAustralia.
He has made significant contributions to clinical practice and research in infertility and his interests include all aspects of assisted reproduction, particularly ‘mild’ IVF, and gynaecological disorders including endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and premature menopause.
Prof Ledger is also Head and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Royal Hospital for Women and Head of the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of New South Wales.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), and has qualifications in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI).
