Dr Wendy Jackson is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, in her 14th year of practice on the north coast. Dr Jackson is a medical specialist in the comprehensive assessment and management of school aged children and adolescents across a range of health issues such as anxiety, depression, emotional/behavioural difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders and trauma.

Dr Jackson utilises a holistic approach, and combines modalities of supportive psychotherapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy, family therapy and psychopharmacology, and works in collaboration with other health and education specialists. Dr Jackson has a background in psychology and paediatrics, and taught as a lecturer/senior lecturer in clinical psychiatry at the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney. Dr Jackson has an interest in family therapy for the management of adolescents with eating disorders, and was a member of the working party who authored the Eating Disorders Toolkit. Dr Jackson previously worked in community psychiatry and in paediatric consultation-liaison psychiatry at Lismore.
