Dr. Warren Weightman has practiced as a dermatologist for 30 years in both private practice and at public hospitals. He is Head of the Department of Dermatology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and has been Chief Examiner and President of the Australasian College of Dermatologists as well as serving on many committees and task forces. He has been involved in clinical research and has investigated treatment of actinic keratoses and superficial basal cell cancers with topical treatments including Metvix with photodynamic therapy, Imiquimod, and Ingenol mebutate, biologics for psoriasis, antifungal treatments for tinea and topical treatments for rosacea. He is interested in the management of non melanoma skin cancer in transplant patients and the role of oral retinoids in preventing skin cancer. His other interests include psoriasis, eczema and biologic treatment. He has been on several pharmaceutical company advisory boards including Roche, Abbvie, Janssen, Leo Pharma, Galderma, Eli Lily and Novartis.
