Dr Banks graduated from the University of Sydney in 1984. After resident terms at Hornsby Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, St Margaret’s Maternity Hospital Sydney, and North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, and GP training at practices in Epping and Bathurst he commenced general practice in Taree in 1992. Dr Banks is interested in the comprehensive patient centred nature and challenges of general practice for patients over the entirety of their life. He is also interested in medical education and sports medicine. He is passionate about snow skiing and mountain biking but has only modest talent for either.
