Tracey Dunlop is a medical oncologist consulting at Southside Cancer Centre. She is a Staff Specialist at St George and Sutherland Hospitals and a visiting medical officer at Griffith Base Hospital. Her main areas of interest are breast, bowel and neurological malignancies, also have a passion for the care of the elderly cancer patient and understand the unique challenges of geriatric oncology. She works with the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at St George Hospital and an experienced in genetic counselling and testing, particularly for high-risk breast and ovarian cancer families. She is in a position to offer her patients optimal care through participation in the multidisciplinary teams at St George Hospital in her specialist tumour groups.

Currently, she is also furthering her experience in teaching and mentoring junior doctors as the Director of Prevocational Education and Training at St George Hospital.

She feels privileged to work in the field of oncology and to support and guide her patients through their cancer journey. She often asked how she can work in a field which is perceived to be emotionally demanding and has such significant impact on the lives of patients and their families. She does her job because the relationships she forms with her patients can be incredibly rewarding and because she believes she can make a difference, not only in providing excellent clinical care but with compassion and open communication.
