Dr. Tore Eivers graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996. He spent the next 3 years working in regional and rural Queensland before traveling to the United Kingdom where he obtained his specialist general practice qualification from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2003. Since returning to Australia in 2008 he has been working as a GP in the Redlands. During his time in the UK, he developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine wanting to reduce the pain and suffering of people with muscular, ligamentous and joint problems. He believes that with appropriate guidance and assistance most people can be empowered to manage their own pain and engage in an active life. In 2016 Dr. Eivers completed a postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal medicine through the University of Otago in New Zealand. Dr. Eivers offers services in all aspects of general practice medicine as well as extended musculoskeletal services including trigger point injections, cortisone injections, pain management, manual therapy and exercise therapy. These are provided within a comprehensive diagnostic and management framework that includes further investigation and referral to appropriate subspecialists as necessary. Dr. Eivers is also currently a member of the Brisbane South Primary Health Network (PHN) Regional Clinical Council that is responsible for giving feedback to the PHN on various government health programs that it runs in Brisbane south.
