Tom Lancaster will graduate and join Saltfleet Clinic late 2018.
During his study Tom has completed placements in acute care hospital setting, paediatrics and outpatient musculoskeletal settings.
His passion for sport has seen him become an integral part of the Sturt Football Club medical team since 2015, receiving the Brenton Miels award for outstanding service to the club. He has also been a member of the medical teams for both the Brisbane Lions (AFL and AFLW) and Melbourne Football Clubs (AFL), as well as the SANFL state team. This has enabled him to work under experienced and skilled physiotherapists, sports doctors and orthopaedic surgeons in assessing and managing elite sportspeople.
Tom has a keen interest in all sports injuries specifically hamstring, shoulder and tendinopathy presentations. Outside of study, Tom competes in both amateur and professional middle distance running competitions. He represented the state on numerous occasions as a junior athlete and is currently ranked in the top echelon of open 800m runners in South Australia. He is also the reigning Bay Sheffield 800m open champion.
