Dr Thomas Moore specializes in general adult psychiatry including mood and psychosis disorders. He has a special interest in PTSD, occupational injury and consultation liaison psychiatry. Dr Moore also has experience with the diagnosis and management of anxiety disorders, older-age psychiatry and perinatal disorders. Prior to becoming a psychiatrist, Dr Moore gained experience in medical research and education. He has published research and taught Science and Medicine to students, nurses and paramedics in a variety of settings at University of Queensland, Griffith University, University of Calgary and University of Wales College of Medicine prior to completing his medical degree and psychiatry training in Queensland. During this training he gained experience in all aspects of public and private psychiatry including subspecialty experience in forensic psychiatry, eating disorders and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr Moore maintains an interest in research particularly the translation of current research into safe and effective patient focused therapies.
