Dr Therese Kanaan completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at Sydney University (graduated in 2011). During her training she was awarded a scholarship which saw her traveling to rural and remote areas of Australia. She has trained at Nepean and Lithgow Hospital and has volunteered her time to teach medical students from the University of Sydney and Notre Dame.
Dr Kanaan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and her interest in aged care and palliative care saw her furthering her experience by working in aged care and palliative care facilities around Sydney. She has experience in minor surgical procedures, dermatology, women, men, adolescent and children’s health, mental health, geriatrics and palliative care.
Dr Kanaan speaks both English and Arabic, and is currently a GP supervisor with GP synergy.
