Dr Svetlana Trmcic was appointed to St John of God Richmond Hospital in August 2006. A graduate from former Yugoslavia, Dr Trmcic passed the Australian Medical Council examinations. Furthermore she has undertaken speciality training in psychiatry with additional advanced training in psychotherapies. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry in 2006.
Dr Trmcic's area of interest and expertise is women's mental health, perinatal psychiatry and psychotherapy. Apart from the membership with the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry, Dr Trmcic is also a member of the Section of Psychotherapy within the College, International Marce Society and the Australian Balint Society. She holds a position of a part-time Staff Specialist - Perinatal Psychiatrist within the public health system and is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer with the University of New South Wales.
