After graduating from UNSW in 1987 I moved to the Snowy Mountains in 1993 and joined the Sharp Street Surgery in May 2000. While working as a GP I completed a Masters in Family Medicine (Monash) in 2013 and was awarded a Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliatvie Medicine in 2014. I currently work part-time in Cooma (Palliative Medicine Specialist, GP and VMO at the Cooma Hospital) as well as part-time Palliative Medicine Staff Specialist at Clare Holland House hospice in Canberra. My interest in rural palliative care has led me to pursue a PhD at ANU, researching end-of-life care in rural settings. In my spare time I enjoy tending to my Dorper sheep, gardening, cycling and travelling.
