Susan did her medical training in England including specialist General Practice training and gained extensive experience in general medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology, family planning and sexual health, paediatrics and psychiatry. Awarded membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1988. Moving to Australia in 1990 Susan spent a year doing rural emergency medicine before returning to general practice. She has been a GP in Paddington for more than 20 years. She completed a Masters degree in Psychological Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 1994 and has maintained an interest in the psychological aspects of health throughout her career. Susan is happy to manage all aspects of health care, both acute and chronic, from the very young to the very old and participates in the Shared Care antenatal programs of both the Royal Hospital for Women and Royal Prince Alfred hospital. She does minor surgical procedures including skin biopsies, skin cancer management and Implanon insertion. Susan is also involved in teaching the next generation of general practitioners.
