Dr Susan Mulligan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interest in cataract surgery. She is a visiting medical officer at Sydney Private Hospital and Bankstown Public Hospital. She is involved with ophthalmologists in training from Sydney Eye Hospital and medical students from the University of NSW where she is a conjoint Lecturer at the University of NSW. She has volunteered on the Myanmar Eye Project to prevent blindness and is a volunteer clinician for the Red Cross.

Dr Mulligan graduated from the University of NSW. She spent her intern and residency years at Prince of Wales Hospital and her ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. She was the Senior Ophthalmology Registrar at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She then undertook postgraduate training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom.

She is a member of the AMA and ASO and keeps up to date by regular attendance at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmologists, and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meetings.
