Raised and schooled in Perth, I attended medical school in Dublin, Ireland. I returned home to work Read More for some time at Royal Perth Hospital pursuing a surgical career until I met my husband. With the prospect of family ahead of me I decided I wanted to be a General Practitioner.
After completing my fellowship, I worked for many years in Kalamunda. After having my second daughter, I commenced working at Third Avenue Surgery which was closer to home and where I have been since 2013. I thoroughly enjoy working and living in the community and contributing to its wellbeing. My special interests include Women’s Health and Sexual Health, Pregnancy care, Paediatrics and Mental Health. I enjoy doing minor procedures including Implanon and Mirena insertion as well as removal of skin lesions. I also regularly work at GP After Hours Mount Lawley, our division of after-hours care. My philosophy with patients is to have an open and comfortable relationship as much possible and to treat them as a whole person. Being a mother of two school aged daughters, I understand what is involved in looking after a family and value the input I can have in caring for many of our patient’s families. I am very honoured to be working for a practice that values high standards of medical care, ongoing medical education and peer support.
