Director of Echocardiography and Senior Staff Cardiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Associate Professor of Medicine with the University of Queensland in Brisbane and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, commences private practice as a founding partner at Brisbane Heart in September 2014. He completed his advanced fellowship in cardiac imaging at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation USA.


He is Clinical Lead and Chair of the Statewide Echocardiography Working Group, Co-Chair of the State Cardiology Clinical Network and Secretary of the Queensland Branch of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has been on the teaching faculty for many national and international meetings and symposia.


He has a keen interest in pulmonary hypertension and echocardiography research. He has been supervising advanced trainees, cardiac scientists and clinical fellows in all forms of echocardiography for 15 years. Besides expertise in general cardiovascular diseases, he has a special clinical interest in valvular heart disease, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. He is currently also overseeing the Pulmonary Hypertension program at the PAH.
