Dr Steven Merten is a fully qualified Plastic Surgeon who specialises in cosmetic plastic surgery, with major interests in cosmetic breast surgery, facial surgery and body contouring surgery. Dr Merten studied medicine at the University of Sydney, then went on to complete training in plastic surgery, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2001. At the completion of his plastic surgery training, Dr Merten spent a further year as a Fellow in Breast Reconstruction at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and as a Fellow in Aesthetic Surgery at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery and Monash University. Dr Merten is actively involved in teaching plastic surgery to the next generation of surgeons.
