Dr Stephen J Williams is a Senior Specialist in gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy. His interests are colonic, biliary and pancreatic disease and the role of endoscopy in the diagnosis and therapy of such conditions.
Stephen is also Senior VMO in Gastroenterology at Westmead Public Hospital; honorary therapeutic endoscopy consultant at Westmead Children's Hospital; and Senior Specialist in Gastroenterology and Therapeutic Endoscopy at both the Southern Highlands Private Hospital in Bowral and the Rosemont Endoscopy Centre in Wollongong.
- Training
His research interests have resulted in a Doctorate in Medicine from Sydney University and more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Teaching
Stephen has long been committed to training tertiary students, registrars and fellows in gastroentrology and endoscopy. He has also convened and participated in many national and international endoscopy workshops; and presented at conferences.
