Dr. Stephen Proud is a General Adult psychiatrist with over 40 years experience in medicine. As well as practicing as a rural GP within Western Australia, he has also practiced in remote communities in both Africa and India.

Dr. Proud founded both Abbotsford Hospital and the Blackwood River Clinic, and was the former medical director of those hospitals for over a decade. He is a Member of the Faculty of Addiction and Forensic Psychiatry, as well as Past Director of North Metro Old Age Psychiatry Services, past lecturer in Neuropsychiatry and a past teacher of trainee psychiatrists.

Dr. Proud is available to see all clients aged 17 years and above and can do one off bulk billed assessments assessments for clients aged 15 to 17. Bulk Billing is available with selected patients on item 291 requested by their GP. Dr. Proud also sees WC, DVA and Medicolegal cases.
