I grew up in Canberra, studied nursing at the old Canberra Hospital.  Moved to Gosford to do midwifery and critical care nursing in preparation for moving to the Northern Territory.  Worked in Darwin, then Gove for 9 years before studying Medicine at Flinders in South Australia.  Moved back to the NT and completed my medical training.  Worked at Royal Darwin Hospital before moving back to Gove to pursue my interest in Aboriginal Health and fishing.  Moved back to Darwin after 2 years and continued working at RDH in anaesthetics and doing FIFO in remote communities.  I have worked in the NT, Kimberly, Torres Straits, Charleville and Bourke. My family all now live in Cooma.  My plan is to continue working in Cooma part time and doing locums/fishing in the Kimberly and NT.
