Dr Stephen John Morris (GP)

Dr Stephen Morris has had over 29 years experience in rural and remote medicine. After graduation from UNSW in 1975, Stephen had several years training in teaching hospitals in Sydney and the UK and was awarded a fellowship (College of Surgeons Edinburgh) in general surgery in 1985. Obstetrics and gynaecology training in the UK followed. Stephen obtained a fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 1998. He has over 20 years experience in skin cancer surgery and has a Masters in Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Qld (2011). He regularly performs skin cancer surgery including skin flaps and grafts and general surgery procedures such as hernia repair, gastroscopies, carpal tunnel decompressions and caesarean sections. Stephen was recently awarded the ‘Peter Graham Award’ for services to the community of Parkes for the procedural services of obstetrics and general surgery including skin cancer surgery.
