A highly experienced obstetrician, gynaecologist and fertility specialist, Stephen enjoys supporting his female patients at every stage, from issues prior to pregnancy such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), to conception and delivery, and at later stages with menopause symptoms.

Stephen sees fertility treatment and gynaecology as some of the most fascinating areas of medicine, because they provide an opportunity to truly transform the quality of life. He also understands the emotional stress couples experience if they have any difficulty conceiving, and his relaxed and approachable style helps patients feel supported at every stage.

Stephen’s extensive hospital-based training has given him a strong background in patient care. He completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle after working in hospital clinics for over 12 years, and has had responsibility for managing the birthing units at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and at hospitals in Caboolture, Nambour and Canberra.

He graduated with a Masters of Reproductive Health in 2013 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) in 2014. He moved to Hobart in 2013 and is now a fertility specialist with TasIVF.
